You can now purchase deep discount DVD movies online from around the world. I used to go to Walmart to find some of the more older and classic DVDs to add to my Library. The only frustration was digging through all the stacks of DVDs just to find a couple that I really liked. Often they had the DVDs dumped into a big box, and everyone could dig through them to try to find their favourite DVD. This was often frustrating and time-consuming.
The large chain of video stores like Hollywood movies, movie Gallery and a big boy Blockbuster offered used and older DVDs at a discount price. Now with more of the video stores closing their doors it is harder to find a location near you. The video stores have been replaced by the convenience of online shopping for DVDs. The price battle has heated up especially on older DVDs and use once. The new releases offer very little discount ( At First ) but given a little time the prices will come down depending on the popularity of the movie, high demand equals higher price that's the retail market.I can remember the first time I walked into my first video shop the videos were lined up against a wall all and alphabetical orders. You could pick the DVD cover box up and take it to the counter and pick up the DVD. Some stores had numbers or even tags that you took to the counter to get your DVD rental. This was before some stores had a computer but as times changed everything. More convenient.
Now you can purchase your DVDs online and have the convenience and ease of picking out your favourite film and have it delivered directly to your door. If you are only wanting to watch a film for one time you can now download it and grab a snack and enjoy the movie.
The actual material cost to produce a DVD film is under $.10. That's right $.10 not $10. If you throw in the cost of labor and shipping you might hit $.25. However, there are many other hands to be paid that can drive the price of the DVD up before it reaches your hands.
One of the reasons they would DVDs are more expensive all the artists, copyrights, lawyers and, etc . have to be paid for their part in the production and distributing of the DVDs. The older DVDs have already covered this cost and can be purchased at a substantial lower-priced.
There are a growing number of deep discount DVD movie websites that you can purchase any of the movies you love. One of the best places I have found is actually a DVD mall. Yes mall just like most malls it offers independently owned and operated websites with a list of DVDs to pick from. So let the eat discount DVD battle began my wallet loves it :)
